@bkuhn but @rms wrote #FDL many years after #LGPLv2 was written, so that doesn't indicate anything.

@bkuhn 3rd piece of evidence is #LGPLv2 itself. Does it really look like something @rms would have written?

@fontana, please make available your evidence that #Cygnus authored #LGPLv2. (I watched you co-author !LGPLv3, BTW)

@bkuhn By "wrote #LGPLv2 " I mean of course #LGPLv2 is derivative work of !GPLv2 and #Cygnus authored the diff

@bkuhn Correct, #LGPLv2 was written by #Cygnus according to some historical accounts. I must admit LGPLv3 is easier to read than LGPLv2.x.

@mpiechotka, yes, and that !LGPLv2 problem is just many example of many why LGPLv3 is better weak #copyleft for users and developers. :)

    Hmm… which license to use? !GPLv2, !GPLv3, #LGPL, #LGPLv2, #LGPLv3, #BSD, etc.? Mix? Split the project and use a few…?
